The main objective of the project was to provide a civic building that responds to rising sea levels. The building addresses the city’s desire to have a theater for the local theater company and the need for an educational hub as the schools in the area are distant. The building will provide the city with a tourist attraction during non-summer months. It will pull people into the city and provide customers with local businesses. It also acts as a meeting location for citizens to gather.
